Reason # 14: Because when we collaborate, great things can happen

In 2010, Families United in Educational Leadership (FUEL) founder Bob Hildreth was building a brand-new organization with an exciting idea – that scholarship money was better spent as an incentive — matching college savings — than as a surprise reward at high school graduation.  FUEL and TEEP got together as a result of our Bostonians for Youth 2010 collaboration.  This year, all of our high school families are saving for college and FUEL has generously underwritten the financial match.  Alison Stahl, FUEL’s Director of Programs, writes, “We are incredibly excited about our partnership with TEEP! The students receive such quality college preparatory programming and now their families have the opportunity to get directly involved by saving and planning for their child’s higher education. Chris, Paul, Sam and Juan David are true partners who have made a strong commitment to family engagement. We can’t wait to see the great things that will result from our work together!”
